What’s new in February... Dye to Order Slots - Dye to Order Slots will be launched on our website on Saturday 5th February 2022 and will be available on our Sock base and DK base. The idea for Dye to Order is that our customers can order a specific quantity of yarn. The yarn quantities will start at 100g and go up to 800g and will be available in our current, existing colourways. We dye our yarn in small batches, typically 400g at a time, so we may not have enough yarn in stock for bigger projects. By opening up Dye to Order slots our customers can tailor their order to a specific project. Our lead time on Dye to Order is 2 weeks from purchase, this allows time for the yarn to be dyed up, drying time, twisting and labelling and packaging and sending.
Pictured: Graphic for Dye to Order Slot in the shop The Spring Yarn Box... We will be launching our very first seasonal yarn box (The Spring Yarn Box) on 19th March 2022. I know it is not in February but we want to get you excited for the launch. This yarn box will be themed around Spring and the contents of the box is exclusive to the box. What's Included:
- 100g skein of hand-dyed yarn (Sock or DK)
- 2 x 20g mini skeins of hand-dyed yarn (Sock or DK)
- Large, cotton canvas project bag (Spring design)
- Greeting Card (Captured in Bloom)
- Postcard and Enamel Pin (Lana Bou)
- Stitch Marker (Atomic Knitting)
- Clippers tea bag
- And a couple of extras we still need to source.
The Spring Yarn Box is not a mystery box so you will get to see the complete contents when everything is ready, probably end of February, beginning of March. Initially, we will be making up 10 Sock boxes and 10 DK boxes to see how well they sell. The yarn box will be available for approximately 3 months, then we will be launching the next seasonal yarn box, The Summer Yarn Box on 18th June 2022. The price for The Spring Yarn Box will be £50 plus P+P. Where to Find Us in February… 7th - 10th February 2022 – Cambridge Yarn Festival We will be going live over on their Instagram account on Wednesday 9th February 2022 at 19:30 (UK time). For this event we will be launching an exclusive colourway on both our DK and Sock base, the theme for this event is Love! All products are available on our website and our Etsy shop.
